How does our distribution work?

As part of our transparent communication objective, this operating plan is used by FWH to plan the daily activities and to identify the different responsibilities.

To create our operating plan, we based ourselves off our previous initiative where we helped 80 families by raising 120 000 Mauritian Rupees (MUR), the equivalent of approximatively 2 453 Euros (EUR).

We reached out and over 40 people donated. After five days, we went to buy all the products in the supermarket . We were able to put 20 products in one box which was designed to help one family of four people. The products included pasta, rice, bread, vegetables and tin cans.

In addition, we received 500 kg of chicken (1kg/bag), 400 kg of fish (2.5kg/bag) as donations and this enabled us to assist 700 additional families. After collecting all of this, it took two days to distribute the boxes all around the North of the Island with the help of family, friends, neighbors and anyone who was willing to help after hearing about our initiative.

For the start of our initiative, our objective is to collect 50 000 MUR per month which is the equivalent of approximatively 1 065 Euros.

This will be divided according to FWH’s different expenses such as our website, the conversion rates (from the currency of your donations to MUR) the location of mini-vans to distribute the boxes and the lunch for our staff on the delivery day (Monday). We guarantee that the rest will be used to buy the food, water and hygiene products.

We also accept other types of donations. Please find the list here. You can personally donate at the following address:

Pépinière Green Wall Concept - Grand Baie la Croisette.

The donations will go to the following areas: Grand Gaube, Sainte Croix, Eucalyptus, Pointe Lascars, Camp Créole, Roche Bois, Goodland,  Pointe aux Piments, Tringbarre, Terre Rouge, Quatre Cocos, Curepipe, Pinte aux Sables, Grand Baie and Baie du Tombeau.

We have reached out to 13 restaurants and food suppliers such as supermarkets, 13 hotels and 6 non-governmental organizations. For the volunteers, we are first going to have people that we know help us before we have recruited enough.
